Ghana - Treating River Blindness

The WHO is active in Ghana in many areas of tropical disease research, education and treatment. The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) is working across the central African region to increase research, spread awareness and successfully reduce disease incidence - very successfully here in the case of river blindness during 2006.
