China - Defending Dynasties
This project in 2001 followed the line of ancient defensive sites across China including the less-traveled Huang-Hwa section of the Great Wall and the 2000 year old standing terra cotta warriors of Xi-An, recently showcased in London. These imperial projects reflect the absolute control of Chinese Dynastic Emperors and their remarkable ability to deter invaders by indirect demonstrations of power. |
